Google Login - Manual Account Creation
(Recommended for adding only a few students at a time)
Teacher experience suggest that this is the fail-proof way of making sure that no students experience struggles with the account set-up and login process. This video shows the step-by-step process for getting student accounts activated by manually adding each student's name and google based email. It is ideal for setting up accounts for a few students at a time, for classes that do not use google classroom, or for young students who might struggle with using google classroom independently. This option can be time consuming for the teacher ahead of time, but requires no effort on the part of the student.
Google Login Through Google Classroom Integration
These videos shows the step-by-step process for getting student accounts activated through google classroom. These options require a few minutes of prep work for the teacher, and require a dedicated amount of class time, along with student support. These options are ideal for setting up accounts for large classes, for teachers who do not have prep time to create accounts manually, for older students, or for students who are very familiar with google classroom. There are two options for google classroom integration.
Option A: If you plan to use existing Google Classrooms to communicate with your students.
Option B: If the new classrooms you establish through MATB will be your primary mode of communication with your students.
Non-Google Email - Custom Login
This video shows the step-by-step process for getting student accounts activated through non-google accounts.
Step #2 - Student Tutorial for Google Classroom Login
*This step is not necessary if you used either of the manual set-up options.
This video takes students through the steps of logging in to MATB All Access using Google Classroom integration. (It is not necessary if you set up accounts manually.) It can be played for students during live instruction and paused when necessary as students follow along on their devices. It can be shared with students for asynchronous login (preferably with teacher instructions accompanying the video). It can also guide you as you plan your lessons for getting students logged in.
Step #3 - Tour of Student Dashboard
This video shows a quick overview of what students see on their dashboard. Since educators and students do not have the same dashboard view, this is a quick way for educators to see what their students see.
Step #4 - Assigning Lessons Tutorial
This video shows you how to assign your lessons to specific classes.
Step #5 - Changing Student Names
*This step is not necessary if you used either of the manual set-up options.
This video shows you how to change student account information, so their first and last names appear in your dashboard instead of their email addresses.
Step #6 - Deleting Lessons
*This video is not necessary for the set-up process but will be helpful later on.
This video shows you different levels of deleting lessons.
